Recently, the domestic steel pipe sector has witnessed a wave of technological breakthroughs. A northern special steel pipe enterprise, relying on its low-temperature material laboratory, has solved the problem of insufficient toughness of pipes in ultra-low temperature environments of -196℃. The produced Low Temperature Steel Pipes not only meet the strict standards for LNG (liquefied natural gas) storage tanks and low-temperature transportation pipelines, but also have passed the certification of international authoritative institutions. They are exported in batches to cold regions such as Northern Europe and Russia, filling the gap in the export of high-end domestic low-temperature steel pipes.​

At the same time, the application scenarios of Alloy Steel Pipes and High Temperature Steel Pipes in the high-end chemical industry continue to expand. As the coal chemical and petroleum refining industries move towards large-scale and refined development, the requirements for the high-pressure resistance, high-temperature resistance and corrosion resistance of pipes have significantly increased. A enterprise's launched Cr-Mo series Alloy Steel Pipes, through micro-alloying treatment and seamless rolling process, can still maintain stable performance in environments of 800℃ high temperature and 10MPa high pressure, and have become the preferred pipes for large-scale refining equipment. Its developed High Temperature Steel Pipes, relying on excellent oxidation resistance, have successfully adapted to high-end scenarios such as aero-engine test platforms and high-temperature experimental furnaces, breaking the technological monopoly of foreign products.​

In the field of precision manufacturing, the market demand for Precision Steel Pipes has shown explosive growth. Benefiting from the rapid development of industries such as new energy vehicles, medical devices and electronic equipment, the requirements for the dimensional accuracy and surface finish of pipes have become increasingly strict. A domestic enterprise has introduced a German precision rolling production line, controlling the outer diameter tolerance of Precision Steel Pipes within ±0.05mm and the inner wall roughness below Ra0.8μm. These products are widely used in high-end fields such as new energy vehicle battery cooling systems and medical endoscope catheters, and their market share ranks among the top in China.​

It is worth noting that Carbon Steel Pipes, as basic products in the industry, have also achieved breakthroughs in green production. A number of enterprises have adopted short-process steelmaking technology to reduce coal consumption and carbon emissions. At the same time, by optimizing the anti-corrosion treatment technology of pipes, the service life of the launched anti-corrosion Carbon Steel Pipes in fields such as municipal water supply and oil-gas transportation has been increased to more than 50 years. This not only reduces operation and maintenance costs, but also conforms to the "dual carbon" development goal.​

Industry experts stated that the current steel pipe industry is in a critical period of transformation from "scale expansion" to "quality improvement". The technological innovation of multi-category products such as Carbon Steel Pipes and Low Temperature Steel Pipes not only promotes the upgrading of the industry itself, but also provides a solid material guarantee for the downstream high-end manufacturing industry.
